I tried the seafood risotto as promised and it was very good. Generous portion and it was flavorful, I definitely recommend it. And then we got the Tirsamu, which was delish as well. I'm glad I made my way back to this little gem because I was a happy camper :)

Not many places like this anymore. We found out about it through an email I received from yelp as one of the top 50 miami restaurants. I noticed only 3 restaurants where 5 stars and fratellino was one of them. That's not easy so I knew it had to be good. Food was excellent and the service was superb. I do have to say that the owner really knows what he is doing. All of the employees have the same hospitable attitude. I had the pollo Frances which was excellent. My wife had the mushroom rissotto. It was great as well. Let's call a spade a spade, these people know what they are doing. It's a shame other miami restaurants don't follow the lead.

I have been here twice and I love it! The owner of the restaurant is so friendly and will always greet you and make sure your having a great meal. I highly recommend to call to make reservations because it is a tiny restaurant and it does get packed fast. Especially on the weekends. Every pasta is great but if you're not in a pasta mood there are other things to have as well. I love coming here and I have never been disappointed when I'm there.

3.5 Not sure why this place gets all the 5 stars reviews. I thought it was pretty good..maybe a little overrated. Everything was very good. Food, service, atmosphere, reasonable prices etc, I just wasn't blown away by anything here. Definitely a good option though for Italian in the Gables.

Good find on yelp. I wouldn't say we received world class service like other reviews mentioned but the servers were attentive. We had their mussels in marinara sauce for appetizer and that was cooked very well. And the soup was delicious. And the mussels was very fresh. Me and my husband did their daily special with your choice of soup or salad and an entree. He had the carrot soup and I had the Cesar salad. The carrot soup was very creamy and you can taste the freshness and the sweetness of the carrot. The Cesar salad was good as well. For entrees, I had the chicken parm and my husband had the egg plant parm. It was a bit weird that our waiter mistakenly gave the check to us before our entrees even arrived. Talk about awkwardness. We had to tell him we didn't even get our main course yet. But putting that aside, both dishes were delicious and the flavor was intense and great. Portions were very generous and we couldn't finish our food. Overall a good place to come check it out if in the area

Service on a rainy Labor Day holiday was great! Extremely attentive, delicious food, accommodating, and friendly. I had the Gnocchi which was AMAZING! The tiramisu is also a MUST! We will definitely dine here again.

There are few places today where you walk into a restaurant a stranger and walk out like family. At Fratellino this is exactly what happens. This was my second visit here and I love it even more than my first. From the moment you step in, Beto, the owner is there to personally greet all his customers. Most of them you'll soon notice he knows by name because they are regulars. He is a gregarious man and his staff follows suit. Family pictures of his childhood and his children grace the walls, and make you feel like you are dining in his home. The food is all homemade and you can taste the freshness in every bite. The burrata is creamy and fresh, and the bread, which in most places is just an after thought, is amazingly delicious here. My husband had the gnocchi and it was like eating little fluffy pillows- airy yet rich with cheesy flavor. I had the cannelloni di Nona which is his grandmother's recipe and it tasted as if Nona herself was back there making it herself. The spinach and ricotta filling was silky smooth and the perfect balance to the richness of the Parmesan cheese melted on top and the rich béchamel sauce surrounding it. Both dishes were superb! Make sure you leave room for dessert and try their apple tart. Everything is made in house- the flaky pastry, the decadent caramel sauce and the creamy ice cream. Every bite was a feast for my palate! Next time you're looking to indulge in those wonderful things called carbs, visit Beto at Fratellino and you will leave there belly happy and being called familia!

This place is great. The owner Beto greeted us at the door and sat us without a reservation. The owner is chatty but welcoming the rest of the staff was perfect. Great service. The food was presented very nicely and really tasted home made. The bread and tomato appetizer was great as was the calamari appetizer. My wife had the cannelloni using his grandmothers recipe. Well done. I had the $45 ossobucco on risotto. Excellent but next time ill get something else. The apple tart dessert was perfect and on the house. A new Italian mainstay on Miracle Mile.

We were looking for a new restaurant to try for Coral Gables restaurant month. We went through a handful of them reading reviews and all had OK reviews. Finally we came across Fratellino. I'll never forget reading the review that said this restaurant deserved 6 stars. When I left the place I had a flashback of just that and how true it was!! For starters their service is absolutely remarkable. They have a great system. The waiters, the owner who comes around meeting everyone is so charming to speak to. The attention to detail from cleanliness to the perfectly bloomed flowers were gorgeous. It's a family owned, quaint place and it's so nice to see the place filled with family photos. The owners nephews are the waiters, the chef has been with them for over 15 years the place is truly one of a kind. Now to the food!! I haven't had such great Italian food since I was in Italy! Every thing from the bread to the chicken and not to mention the PASTA absolutely delicious!! I can't wait to go back and try some more. This time around I had ricotta filled raviolis with pears and figs in a creamy white sauce. The flavors exploded in your mouth, absolutely to die for! The prices are beyond worth it. This is a great place to go on a first date, be romantic, celebrate something simple with family or friends. Regardless, it is definitely a MUST to try. They deserve the 6 stars!

I have been writing Yelp reviews for a while now... I have to admit Fratellino is one of the best restaurants I have been so far. We came here Thursday night around 8pm. We didn't have a reservation but got a table without any wait. The restaurant is very welcoming and lovely. From furniture to decoration, everything is considered about customers, and that creates the homely atmosphere in the restaurant. I was surprised to find a cushion under tables so that you won't hurt your legs when crossing under the table. How considerate! Also, the lovely pictures of the owner and his family hang on the wall, and that gives warm and comfort feeling. I was really, really, really impressed with their food and service. Anything from the menu tastes surprisingly new, and I could tell the owner/chiefs have a sophisticated palate. I was skeptical about 5-star reviews on Yelp, but I should have trusted other Yelpers more. Fratellino deserves 5-star if not more. The details of our order: Insalata Tricolore, Burratina, Cozze di Mare for appetizers. "Burrata" was recommended by our waiter and this is a must! Fresh homemade burrata mozzarella is nothing but delicious. The texture is perfect, and it's completed with the salad and the dressing. We couldn't shut up how good it was, and we're still talking about it now after many hours later. For main, we got Pappardelle al porcini and Vitello ai tre funghi. Again, amazingly delicious and filling. When we were debating dessert, the owner stopped by our table and asked "What are you getting for dessert? It's on the house!" We got the tiramisu and finished within a minute. By now, you can tell how satisfying the whole meal was from the beginning to the end. It was better than my words can describe. The service was also excellent. All the waiters are very friendly and professional. The owner 'Beto' stopped by tables many times to make sure everyone was having a good time. He's such a joy and delighted our night. Fratellino is seriously the one of the best restaurants, and I'm sad that they're not in my area. Love this place!

I had a spa day booked @ The Biltmore for my birthday. I asked my friend who lives in the Gables to recommend a *fantastic restaurant for lunch since I live an hour away & wanted it to be GREAT! When we walked in (party of 3) we were greeted as if we were "locals". The service was impressive. The food was delicious! We recd a complimentary round of prosecco and a calamari app! That really made us feel special. I have to say that I normally don't enjoy calamari however this was the BEST I've ever had. It was seasoned perfectly & super tender. Our dishes were so delicious! The next time I'm in town I will be sure to return for another phenomenal meal!

This is the best italian restaurant in Miracle Mile. You will never get disappointed. The atmosphere has charm (clean and modern with personality) and the staff are always so fabulous and welcoming. It's a small place, but comfortable and never feels crowded even if the restaurant is full. Their main menu is totally fabulous. Must order everything, trying a different dish at every visit! I love this place.

Truly worthy of a 5 star review. The food and the impeccable service will keep me coming back. The staff was polite, friendly, smiling and accommodating. They brought out a chair for the ladies to put their bags on their own, showing consideration for their outdoor diners. The food is delicious: warm bread to start, we also had the calamari fritti which was perfectly crisp and came with fried zucchini. The papardelle and the fettucini were both exceptional. Al dente, and not too heavy with the creaminess. The flavors were balanced and authentic. They were on the ball the entire night. We finished off with the apple crisp and it was a great dessert to end the meal. I want to try the tiramisu next time. There are several options for Italian on Miracle Mile, but Fratellino may be the most authentic at the moment. Bon appetito.

Decided to get off an overbooked plane Stayed 2 more nights for a voucher to gain They put us up in Coral Gables Shopping and then a Fratterlino table Welcomed warmly and oh so friendly Really impressed my good friend, Sandy Had complimentary sparking wine We both agreed it was so fine! Comped a free appetizer, excellent buscuito It sure had plenty of delicious prosciutto We split a meal, Nonna's cannoneli Very outstanding! My pleasure to tell ye We also shared some tasty chicken That also would be rated a ten. If you dine here, Beto will take care of you. The food and service sure to impress you! You'll sure be surprised when you get the bill Outstanding food at reasonable prices gives a diner a thrill!

I give this place 3 stars because it had great service, and great food, however he food didn't blow me away. I personally didn't love their 4 cheese gnocchi's because they were in the oven too long and the cheese on the top had a slightly burnt flavor. The pappardelle a la fungi was good however it didn't blow my mind, it was good but it wasn't as flavorful as I've tried in other places. I would go again to try the cannelloni since they looked fabulous, as well as the bolognese .... Over all, I felt it was nice and that the price was decent considering the style and area.

I had an amazing experience at Fratellinos!! The food is made with love and the staff makes you feel at home. The owner, Beto, invited my family and I in like we were part of his. They've earned every star they have!!!

Came to Fratellino to try out them out during Coral Gables Restaurant Week..... I ordered: - Burratina: This is like a salad.... Everything lays on thin slices of prosciutto laid at the bottom of the plate. There's a ball of fresh burrata mozzarella laying in a small bed of greens, tomatoes, and roasted peppers. This was a bit weird to eat at first because there is no dressing or seasoning. I realized though that you have to eat this as a unit. The salty prosciutto complements the rest of the "mozzarella salad". The actually mozzarella is different than what most people think when they think mozzarella. The texture was very soft and lacked rigidity in it's structure. It was also rather bland in flavor compared to what you'd normally buy at a supermarket. Individually each component of the "salad" was odd and lacking flavor, but when combined with the prosciutto, the salad was actually very good. Different than the salads I'm used to, but i did enjoy it a lot. I'd order it again. - Involtini Di Melanzane: This was supposed to have thin slices of eggplant but I couldn't taste or feel the texture of eggplant at all, of course eggplant doesn't have a very distinct flavor. The wrap was not noodle, I want to say it had the consistency of like a crepe? It was filled with plenty of ricotta, some roasted peppers and covered in plenty of mozzarella. - Vitello Alla Saltimbocca: The first thing I noticed when the plate was served, was it's small ass size lol. I hate small portions! This was pan seared veal medallions with prosciutto layered on top of the veal medallions. Everything was covered with a sage demi glace sauce. On the side came a couple stalks of broccoli and 3 pieces of french fries. The plate came with two pieces of veal that were very thinly sliced. The flavors were amazing! I wish there would have been more pieces of veal to the order because they were actually really really good. The salty prosciutto complemented so well and added a very rich layer of flavor. Every bite had some prosciutto in it. The demi glace sauce also complemented the veal well. The fries were also seasoned very well and tasted good, wish there would have been more than 3 pieces to the order. - Cannelloni Della Nonna: These were wrapped in the same crepe-like material as the Involtini's. They were actually pretty similar in many ways. It was stuffed with plenty of ricotta along with parmigian cheese and some spinach. It was served over a bechamel sauce that was pinkish (I thought bechamel was a white sauce, I could very well be wrong though). It was a solid dish though, every component tasted rich and flavorful. - Pouched Pears and Red Wine Served with Italian Vanilla Gelato: When these came out I was a bit unimpressed. The icecream was melting :( and it just seemed like a blah dessert. I dug in right away to catch the remaining part of the ice cream that was not melted yet. It definitely surprised me how good this dessert was. The red wine sauce mixed with the ice cream SO WELL. The combination of pears, red wine, and the vanilla gelato was aces. I'd definitely order it again and I recommend this dessert. - Chocolate Mousse Cake: I actually wanted to order the Grandma's Ale Famous Tiramisu but they had ran out by the time we got there, so we settled for the Chocolate Mousse. Normally I'm not a fan of Mousse, I've actually never really been impressed by any mousse before. It's not my style of dessert. When the cake came out I was actually impressed right away because it was actually a nice large piece of cake.... and it just looked yummy.... and it was actually the best chocolate mousse cake i've ever eaten. I'd order it again if given the chance. Overall portions were a bit smaller than I'd like. I am a bit harsh on portions but it is what it is, big portions will win me over. Quality and flavors in everything was very very good. This is definitely a place that i'd go to for a nice date or special occasion. Solid 4 out 5 stars for me.

I took my husband here the first time we came. We started with some of their house made bread with brushetta (on the house and AMAZING) and an order of the provoletta (OMG - so good!). I had the pappardelle with mushrooms and my husband had the bolognese. Both dishes were very special...we could not find one thing wrong with anything we had. The owner was very sweet...you can tell this is a labor of love for him. His energy and enthusiasm was contagious. I immediately recommended this place to my parents (they are divorced). My mom came with my step-dad and they couldn't stop raving about the food. I then came with my dad and my husband and the owner immediately recognized us and greeted us like family. We had the linguini with clams, bolognese, and the fettuccini alla amatricina. Again everything was to die for! We love this place and plan to keep returning time and time again! Enjoy!!!! Bravo to the owner and the rest of the staff who make this restaurant so special.

Fratellino is fantastic! I've been here several times, and they do not disappoint. The owner, Beto, is always a warm and attentive host. The service is impeccable, and they really value your business. The food is also amazing. I find it hard to order anything other than the cannelloni because it's just SO good. But pretty much everything on the menu is delicious and fresh. It's hard to find a good Italian food in Miami, and this has definitely been my go-to ever since my first experience.

My wife and I went last night based on the Yelp reviews. We tried to make a reservation an hour in advance but no tables until late were available. We went to Miracle Mile for another restaurant and passed by, walked in at 7:00PM and they had a table and sat us immediately. Upon later discussing this with Beto, he informed us there had been a large table cancel. We loved everything about our meal. The service was impeccable. I had the Bolognese which was probably the best I've ever had. My wife had pappardelle with mushrooms and also loved it. The bread and bruschetta before hand was delicious. We ordered the Burrata as an app and it too was great. At the end we were talking with Beto and he offered a free tiramisu for the reservation issue(which admittedly wasn't an issue) and while unnecessary it was very much appreciated. My wife and I go out to nice restaurants often, and while most are usually enjoyable, it's rare that I know I will definitely want to return. This was one I will definitely return to.

I come from Chicago and I almost cried because the food was soooo good. Beto is such an inviting host. This is a hidden gem I would love to bring a date on. The food was to die for. I would suggest dining inside if it's the summer since it does get very hot outside.

My wife brought me into Fratellino based on their Yelp reviews, and I'm very happy she did. The staff was friendly, courteous and competent. The owner, Beto, adds a especially friendly touch, peppering self-deprecating banter with very funny jokes at the right time. The food was very good (she had the Branzino with Spaghetti Bolognese and I had Filet Mignon with some of the best Risotto I've ever tried). This was a very good experience, and we highly recommend it

We were a group of 8 for a friend's bday dinner the 1st time I went earlier this month. picked location based on reviews and it did not disappoint. I had the sea bass with aioli linguine and it was to die for. group had several apps; fav is the Provoletta. hubby had the Risotto alla Pescatora and he loved but wanted my plate. I tasted a friends Gnocchi quattro formaggi and it was also yummy but mostly focused on my meal. didn't hear any complaints and I have a really picky Italian eater with me. wine good. tiramisu good. service excellent! attentive staff and knowledgeable; able to help with menu. the cherry on top: the owner Beto is a character and you can tell he loves his business and cooking, and people. location is perfect. on the mile. indoor and outdoor seating. location is small and hopefully stays small. we made reservations both times. 2nd visit with hubby and 3yo toddler and all staff was attentive and my boy even got ice cream on the house. hubby had sea bass with risotto and it was killer. I usually like to order something different at restaurants every time but I couldn't, and had to go with the sea bass again. too yummy. dessert was choco mousse this time and it was ridiculously smooth and light and fluffy and i'm drooling now. I don't have much time to write reviews anymore but exceptional places bring me back.

I was really excited to try this new place after so many rave reviews on Yelp. What a disappointment!!!. It all started when we ordered a bottle of Prosecco and they told us they were out. An Italian restaurant out of Prosecco on a Thursday night before a long weekend? The owner argued that he orders 4 cases a week and they that the restaurant is so popular that they run out. Lame excuse. Despite my wife saying repeatedly that Prosecco was all she wanted and otherwise would be content with water, he brought over a glass of white wine. My wife refused to accept and he kept pressing. In his failed attempt, he then knocked over my own glass of red wine. This was a very bad omen. Regarding the food, all I'll say is that I've had better Stouffer's frozen meals. It was ordinary and not particularly well presented. The owner is loud and overpowering and quite honestly, I found him a bit too much to take. As we were leaving, he reminded us that he had offered two free glasses of Prosecco for our next visit. He'll be serving them to someone else. And, by the way, it should be rated at least $$$

In a nutshell: fresh and exacting dishes, proper Italian with good balance of flavors, friendly service, cozy ambience. We ordered: the ricotta stuffed eggplant appetizer- absolutely delicious- almost like a little cannelloni of lightly breaded eggplant, with tomato sauce Fried mozzarella over balsamic greens- tasty mix of salty heavy and sweet light Fettuccini carbonara- the pancetta and butter were making rich, sweet love on the plate. Excellent, cardiologist sold separately. Pollo al limone- egg breaded chicken breast with lemon butter. Tender chicken and good Lemon / butter balance. Tiramisu oozed espresso without being overpoweringly cloyingly sweet. The right finale. Service was decent, nothing exceptional, which is fine because the dishes are the pièces de résistance

Visited the restaurant for my 3 year anniversary. When we arrived we enjoyed a glass of champagne on the house as we waited for our reserved table. The owner compassionately welcomed us. We ordered the Agnolotti di pera and the Pappardelle al porcini. Both dishes were divine. Beware, the agnolotti is extremely creamy and sweet which suited the tastes of my date. The pappardelle was savory with a good amount of salt, and not too creamy. Together, both dishes balanced one another perfectly. I definitely plan on returning

The staff was gracious, led by the owner, Beto. He's quite a storyteller. But a better restauranteur. The food from the bread (yes the bread! It's that good), pollo parmigiana and the pear with vanilla gelato were all good.

This is the best Italian I've had to date! As an appetizer, the Burratina is highly recommended! The Rissoto ai funghi porcini is absolutely delicious; it's so creamy! I ordered Salmon Piccata off the menu and it's the best piccata I've ever had. All in all, I'm going back. I went for the first time on Monday and already have plans to go back on Thursday before I depart on Friday. Love this place!!!

I had been craving Italian food so I decided to give this place a try since it is new and located in the gables. The restaurant is small but cozy decorated with family pictures on the walls. The food was good and serving portions were large but the main reason I am giving this restaurant 5 stars is because of the service Beto who is the owner came to our table serveral times to make sure that everything was to our liking he even spoke to us for a while. He went above and beyond to make sure that our date night was perfect even giving us a tiramisu which was a great treat after a delicious meal. The service her alone is a good enough reason to try this place out.

I am so glad i gave this place a try. I went for my birthday and I was not disappointed. The staff is wonderful and very attentive. The food was so fresh and definitely all home made.. From their raviolis to their ice cream everything is made from scratch and u can tell. It was a great dining experience and reservations are a must. Tip.. Write down who you make a reservation with.. I'm glad I did.. I always write down the date and time when I called and who I spoke with. They couldn't find me on their list.

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever tried in my life... Food, service and atmosphere was just amazing.. Beto the owner is very friendly ... My fiancé took me here for my birthday and honestly it made my day!!! I will definitely recommend it for anyone that loves Italian food.. Too bad this place is not in NYC.. We ate the pear and octopus salad as entrees, and as main course We ate the cannelloni and Sea bass.. Dessert was a home made apple tart with Italian vanilla gelato made from scratch everything ... AMAZING!!

I can see why this place has 5 stars. Right when you walk in the owner Beto greeted us and the whole staff treated us like family. The food was also fantastic. We ordered two main dishes (spaghetti bolognase and the pear pasta). Both dishes were delicious but the spaghetti blognase was our favorite. We will definitely tell our family and friends and come back!!

I've work in the restaurant bussines and I couldn't believe this place had such amazing reviews. I wanted to check myself and it was a WOW!!. Service was amazing, they treated us like family and they knew it was our first time. Food is extremely good, starting from the bruschetta they offer you at the beginning of the meal. We ordered classics like Caesar Salad, Pasta Bolognese and Chicken Milanese because for me classics needs to be made to perfection, so you will know they pay attention to details, specially in an Italian restaurant. I was amazed from the food. This is my new little restaurant. LOVE IT!!

Beto is the best host! Always remembers you from previous experiences which is a great feeling when the owner Knows you and remembers you. In addition to great service the food is out of control. I originally wanted to come here for Coral Gables Restaurant Week. I called ahead and made a reservation for Sunday, not asking if the offer was still available since the website for CGRW didn't specify the that the special menu wasn't available on weekends. When I arrived at the restaurant, they didn't have my reservation and, when I was seated, the person who I think is the owner informed me and my date that the offer was not available for the weekend. I was a little bummed out, but I decided to stay because of the good reviews. I ended up ordering some of the same items that were on the CGRW menu. To me, the food was slightly above average, but not phenomenal. What really stood out, as seen in other reviews, was how personable and professional the staff were. They really make you feel like a part of the family. The prices were reasonable considering the location, so I'm sure I'll be back for more of a taste of their food.

My friend and I found Fratellino on Yelp and with 111 reviews and a full 5 stars we knew we had to try it for lunch while in the Coral Gables area. Well I must say this was a wonderful dining experience. The service was personal as other reviewers have said, the decor lovely and the food was top notch. We ordered Cozze di mare which was mussels in a garlic wine sauce (cooked perfectly and the sauce was so good it could have been eaten as a soup!), Involtini di melanzane, an eggplant appetizer with fresh cheeses, roasted peppers and tomatoes - oh my. The Cannelloni della Nonna was made with freshly made pasta, spinach and cheeses topped with a delicate bechamel sauce - a dish not to be missed. We finished with the worlds best tiramisu laden with rich espresso. I'll be dreaming about that until I can return next month. You won't be disappointed dining here.

FANTASTIC dishes. Tried a few menu items and the gnocchi was my favorite. Best gnocchi I've ever had- not heavy like how it is usually made. The owner was there and greeted us warmly and came by to talk to us throughout the meal. He was so kind and welcoming. Had great stories to tell about his family (the walls are lined with family photos). The restaurant has an amazing vibe, cozy yet refined. The wait staff are very courteous. Would be a great place for a special occasion.

This is my second review. The first was a few months ago shortly after they opened and it is nice to see their food and service has stayed as exceptional as the first time I dined there. We dined again on Friday night and both food and service were excellent. The Owner Beto and staff take an interest in seeing all the patrons are having a good time and you are getting the service you expect. You rarely see this anymore. Maybe in other cities, but not Coral Gables. Maybe that is why they are #1 on both Yelp and Tripadvisor. There are many choices on the menu to pick from so again I am looking forward to my next visit. Recommend you make a reservation for Friday or Saturday night or they can probably fit you in if you show up after 9.

A great experience! Saw the rating and reviews online and decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. Made a reservation on yelp and had no problems when I arrived, was seated immediately. The place is cozy and the atmosphere is great. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and courteous. The bruschetta was amazing and the calamari is one of the best I have ever had. My wife and I both ordered spaghetti with bolognese and it was amazing, tasted just like the pasta from Italy. We had the chocolate mousse cake for dessert and that was great as well, nothing to criticize here. Will definitely return.

Our night started with the owner accommodating me and my boyfriend with a table despite a mishap with our reservation. He was completely booked but somehow was able to clear a table for us. To add, he threw in 2 glasses of wine on the house to make up for the confusion with our reservations. Can you say, great service or what! Upon being seated, the waiters brought out bread and the most delicious bruschetta. The bruschetta had fresh tomatoes, olive oil, and a generous amount of black pepper. I couldn't get enough of it! For our meal, we ordered the Caesar salad, gnocchi, and Spaghetti alla Bolognese. The waiters came by frequently to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, which we did. I wish I could give this place 5 stars based on the service alone, but sadly, I found my meal to be good, but it wasn't outstanding. The Caesar salad had too much dressing on it, making it overly creamy. As for the Spaghetti alla Bolognese, it was mediocre. It had an overwhelming amount of ground beef with not enough noodles. The gnocchi, however, was really delicious. It was fluffy and the right amount of creaminess. I definitely recommend the gnocchi! Overall, it was still an enjoyable experience due to the impeccable service of the staff members. At the end of our meal, they brought out complimentary espressos for us which was a nice way to wrap up our dinner. I still recommend this place for the ambiance, service, and other dishes besides the Spaghetti alla Bolognese.

their food is good, and that's what you would expect. But you would not expect everything to be that fresh, especially the breads to start with. You can tell from the steams that they are straightly from the oven and served within a minute. their service is also good. And also that's what you would expect. And again, the toothpicks and listerines are something you might not expect. And so, five stars it earns:)

Fabulous customer service! I can't say enough about this restaurant. Complimentary wine while we waited. Very friendly gracious owner. Cannollini Della nonna and chicken parm were delicious. Go! Make a reservation limited seating

I'm not one to add a five star review on top of other five star reviews, but Beto deserves a five star review all on his own. Let me paint the picture for you. A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I attempted to grab a late dinner at Fratellino. It was a Friday at about 10:10 PM (restaurant closes at 11 on Fridays) when we arrived; there were a slew of empty tables and plenty of patrons still enjoying their meals. When we asked for a table, the host asked us to give him a minute. After a few conversations between staff members, a waiter came out and informed us (quite rudely) the kitchen was closed and that we'd need to go try somewhere else. The whole experience could be defined as nothing short of sketchy (people were still getting their food!) and we were so turned off we didn't want to return. Last Friday, after speaking to a few family members who raved about the restaurant, we decided to return. Upon arriving, we were greeted by Beto. He let us know there was an hour and a half wait, but gave us his card and told us to come back in an hour to see if he could squeeze us in. Craving Italian and to lazy to go anywhere else, we decided we'd wait and posted up at a bar down the street for a drink. About an hour later, we returned to the restaurant. Beto came over to us at once, greeting us with hugs and thanking us for returning. He seemed so genuinely happy. He told us a table had just gotten up and he would be able to seat us shortly, once again thanking us for returning to dine with them that night. We were so taken aback by his generosity and warm spirit, which was so contrary to the cold behavior we had received previously. As he excitedly sat us, you could tell he was an owner who truly cared about his business. We deliberated for a few minutes, and based on the amount of passion he exuded for the restaurant, we determined we had to let him know about our previous experience. Beto was beside himself. He thanked us relentlessly for letting him know (returning to the table multiple times to say thanks again) and sent us glasses of champagne on the house. While the complimentary beverage was thoughtful, what really struck me was the sincere gratitude he expressed. I watched Beto for a good portion of the night, and observed as he graciously spoke to all his guests, offering hugs and gratitude for visiting the restaurant. Forget the fact that the food is easily top 3 Italian I have eaten in Miami (il gab.. who?), that the ambiance is the perfect mix of casual and upscale, and that the wait service is superb... this restaurant receives 5 stars alone for Beto and his gracious hospitality. A true southern Italian - warm and welcoming. (His Nonna's Cannelloni is also no joke.) I'd definitely recommend Fratellino to anyone desiring a true, home-cooked Italian meal with real Italian hospitality.

I visited this restaurant for a date and overall the experience was very good. As soon as you walk in you are greeted and taken to your table, if you don't want to wait consider making a reservation. As for the food, the menu is very diverse and has many options for different types of appetites, but there was an issue. We ordered 3 different dishes and everything was very very heavy, good in flavor but I couldn't enjoy more than half my dish. Other than the food, the service was flawless, very attentive and helpful at the point of making a decision. Overall, good food, perfect service just be wary if you don't enjoy very heavy dishes.

Warmth is the only word I can use to describe my experience at Fratellino. The staff and owner exquistely have created the most comfortable and inviting dining atmosphere not just in Miami but anywhere that I've been recently. The owner is simply a joy to talk to and your servers make sure your time is both entertaining and enjoyable. They presented my family with free dessert and coffee and joined in the celebration of my little brother's graduation from FIU. The selection of wines are impressive and the quality of food is on par with my Italian grandmother's cooking. You can do no better in Miami for a superior Italian culinary experience that combines the warmth of family and Italian cuisine that is crafted to perfection. Bravo! Try the Osso Buco. It falls of the bone and balances perfectly with the saffron risotto. Also, their house Chianti is remarkable. Dry like a preferable Chianti should be, but incredibly smooth and complimented my Osso Buco very well.

Fratellino Beto, Beto, Beto... Bellissimo, Bellissimo, Bellissimo. Fratellino is an amazing experience, and Beto is a most amazing host, owner and person. He is the kind of person that after just a few minutes you feel you have known him your entire life. We arrived at the restaurant a little early for our Sunday night dinner. We had reservations made online for 7 PM and got to the restaurant early around 6:45. We noticed a very large group of ladies that occupied most of the small restaurant. We were just 3 in our group, wife, my son and myself. Beto greeted us at the door and he asked if we had made our reservations online as I said we did. He then told us he had forgot to delete the ability to make reservations online but would seat us if we came back in 30 minutes to allow for his kitchen to get the order in for the large group. We had come down from Parkland to see our son so we agreed to come back. What a great move that was!! When we arrived back at the restaurant Beto greeted us again and gave us a table. He then called over one of the waiters and told him to bring over a bottle of wine on the house, (sorry Beto had to tell), to make up for us having to wait. We were presented with bruschetta and bread to munch on while we looked at the menu. This was some of the best bruschetta I have had, equal to what I had in Italy. The bread was very fresh and I had many pieces to make sure that it was as good as I thought! We stated off with an appetizer of fried Calamari and zucchini with an aloi sauce and also two bowls of Pasta e fagioli. Calamari was fried perfectly, very crisp but tender inside. The soup was made with a base that was not as thick as I have had elsewhere but very flavorful and I liked it very much. We then had the Gnocchi Quattro foramggi, amazing dish. The cheese was a prefect blend and the Gnocchi melted in your mouth (like cotton candy). We then shared three dishes, Pollo Francese, Pollo Fratellino and Vitello ai tre funghi. All were so good that we finished almost everything and just had a little to take home (to the dismay of my son who wanted to take home a lot more). We ended the evening with a piece of Tiramisu (excellent, as good as I have had in Boston's North end). During our dinner Beto stopped by to make sure everything was ok and told us about the restaurant and the family pictures on the walls. He is truly a wonderful host and what all restaurant owners should strive to be. Go to this restaurant, enjoy a fine meal and meet a great guy in Beto. You will feel like you just ate at a friend's home.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Miami. Food is top notch. Small place with great service. Owner is very involved and goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. Try the mussels for appetizers, you stomach will thank you.

A great place with a great family style atmosphere. We came in without a reservation and there were no tables available. The owner asked us to wait for a few minutes outside and even give us a glass of wine to hold us over. The customer service was great and the food was amazing

Wow, like being back in Italy! We had a late dinner, interacted w: a great little family (I got to hold the 6-mo. old baby girl!) & it ended up we are in the same industry! I took advantage of the Taste of Coral Gables menu w/ pears at the start & finish - Veal Saltimbocca in between. Fabulous staff, authentic Italian experience. Sad to leave (at 10 p.m!)

As another reviewer suggested we don't want this place to become too well known as we'll never get in and Beto will raise prices. On the other hand Beto and all of his staff are great so: Warm and great service, cozy nice atmosphere, best and reasonably priced Chianti by the glass and food that ranges from the very good and up that is fairly priced. Then there's the very thoughtful flossers in the rest rooms. We'll be back.

From the moment we stepped in front of the restaurant we were greeted and welcomed in by the owner himself Beto. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional! They make you feel like family here. I highly recommend Fratellino, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely delicious, authentic, amazing Italian food. The owner is so inviting and welcoming. He remembered my husband and I the second time we went and hugged us as if we were family. It is a cozy and warm atmosphere whether sitting inside or out. Perfect for date night or intimate family gathering. These are the type of establishments I love.... The ones where you look around and see the owners speaking to and hugging their repeat customers. Not to mention the outstanding food. We will def be regulars at this spot! Spaghetti bolognese and Osobuco out of hand!!!

Very hard for me to give a restaurant fully 5 stars, but this place truly is worth 5 stars for perfection. I am generally a very picky eater, and skeptical about any restaurant regardless of the reviews it gets on yelp. I decided to check this place out with my fiance, and needless to say, we were absolutely floored by the food in this place. Is it as ritzy looking at Perricones in Brickell? No, not that Miami ritzy, but its designed pretty good, relatively quiet looking for the most part. Now onto the food, we were started with a wonderful warm fresh toasted baked italian bread with bruschetta mix, which was absolutely delicious! Afterward, we decided to order the pasta bolognese and I had the risotto funghi (mushroom). The food came out, and one bite in, both me and my fiance agreed this was truly the best italian place in all of Miami. The food was delicious, every single bite, you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. Highly recommend both dishes! Afterward, Beto, the owner himself, came out to greet us personally and had a little small talk with us asking if we enjoyed it. The hospitality he shows toward his guests just reinforces a happy and friendly atmosphere for the place. He took the time to make a joke, talk to us, and do small things that most restaurants really don't do. It's a great add on to his restaurant. We tried out the tirusimu from the restaurant for desert, and again, it was absolutely fabulous. All in all, if you want the best italian food in all of Miami, come here.

The pappardelle al porcini is perfection. A must for all mushroom lovers & possibly the dish to convert all those mushroom critics. I came with my family & feel as though we gained more members while we were there. The owner & his family are amazing.

Been here with my mom and dad while on holiday in Florida. Food is incredible and host is an amazing gentlemen. On many occasions we bring up the diner we had in this restaurant. 'Do you remember when......' We were laughing the entire evening and was a night we would always remember, we had so much fun. We learned about the entire familia and got a nice story with every picture of the big family. Promised to write a review on Yelp, and while we been here a few months ago this review had to be written. Please go here and embrace the ambiance and have an awesome night.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Great location on miracle mile, only surpassed by the delicious food and great service! We ordered the carpaccio di manza, the sea bass with risotto, and the pollo Francese and all three dishes were excellent! A must try for Italian in the gables, we will definitely be back...

The owner Beto makes you feel like you are an old-time friend. This is so refreshing in South Florida - where people are not always the friendliest. The food was amazing - particularly the pasta and desserts. Beto even made my 2 yr old feel extra welcom. We were in Coral Gables for a staycation - but this is definitely worth the drive down from Boca. We will be back!!

Amazing, amazing, amazing!! I almost don't want to write a review so this place doesn't get too crowded and trendy. The first thing we had was the fresh baked bread straight out of the oven with fresh diced tomatoes perfectly seasoned to perfection. 1) fried calamari with zucchini - best calamari I have ever had! Fantastic! Please don't change a thing. 2) caprese salad- good, but the only thing we ordered that was average 3) chicken broth soup with spinach and egg whites - fantastic!!! 4) spaghetti carbonara - wonderful and flavorful dish - everyone at the table was grabbing for a bite 5) ravioli filled with pear fig and ricotta - wow!! Incredible - one of our favorite dishes 6) homemade fettuccini with pancetta and tomatoes - excellent! 7) veal with mushrooms - excellent! Overall, an excellent meal!

Superb food and service! I had seen the great reviews on Yelp and heard great things about this restaurant from my coworker. Finally made it here and was not disappointed. We had the cannelloni, sea bass, and mushroom pappardelle. Everything was amazing, including the bread and tkMalbec wine. The owner is professional, warm and accommodating. We loved the way the restaurant honors family. Try it, you won't be disappointed!!

Made reservations there for a business dinner having read all the raving reviews and seeing the 4 star rating on Yelp. Great staff and service but the some of the food items are just plain bad. The Rosso di Montalcino was below average and I was horrified to see a mayo-like dressing on their Frattelino salad. Also, who would serve tasteless wedge tomatoes and a boiled egg on Prosciutto? My Osso Bucco however was truly outstanding. So it's a mixed bag.

What an amazing experience, Beto the owner!!! hands down!! the best customer service I had in years, we felt like family inside this place. The food!!! OMG!!! Dined there on Valentine's Day with my wife and son. What great service and food. The food was AWESOME! Beto, the owner, was so nice and got us in one hour early of our reservation. This place was amazing! The service is one of the best we've ever had!! Everyone was very friendly and very attentive. The owner, Beto was awesome! He made our first experience seem like we had been going there for years and were family friends. And then the food!!! So good! The chicken parm was great and the pappardelle di porcini was amazing! Their chocolate mousse was one of the best desserts we've had! I would definitely recommend this place for a date night (or anniversary dinner as we were celebrating). It has a very intimate setting with only 12-13 tables. The authenticity of the restaurant, wait staff, and food was a very refreshing experience. We'll definitely be back!

I was on vacation and stumbled upon this amazing restaurant. My friend and I started with the carpaccio which was fantastic. Perfectly seasoned with a delicious sauce. We then each ordered an entree and the kitchen was kind enough to split it for us so we could share our meal easily. Both entrees were delicious and we are both super picky when it comes to great food. My friend owns a high end restaurant in Newport Beach so she definitely has discerning taste. Can't say enough about the food served at this restaurant. The service was also impeccable. Our waiter was helpful and attentive. We had such an amazing experience that we took our daughters to the restaurant the next day for lunch before we headed to the airport. For lunch we had the gnocchi which is the best I've had since visiting Venice last summer. It's as delicate as a cloud loaded with flavor. I'm still dreaming about it. All I can say is go to the restaurant and you won't be disappointed!

I was visiting the area on business and didn't know where to eat. I checked for places near my hotel, saw the positive reviews for Fratellino and decided to give it a try. Best decision I made on the trip. The food was outstanding, and the staff was attentive, including Beto, the owner, who wears every hat imaginable: greeter, waiter, busboy, chef. Not at the same time, and not in the same day, but you get my meaning. The place is as cozy as Beto is personable. And the food? Outstanding. Definitely worth your time and money.

We arrived at the restaurant as it was opening and the owner greeted us and explained the background of the restaurant and his family. You can tell he takes pride in his work. I had high expectations of this place and it was definitely met. The calamari was the best I've had. They don't mind mixing and matching meals, if you don't see it on the menu. We split calamari and it was cooked perfectly. I ordered eggplant parm. and it was the best I've had in Miami. My lady got the gnocchi and she said they were perfect. We split Tiramisu, which I don't even like however I ended up eating more of it because it was so great. The Service couldn't have been any better and the prices were very fair, I literally have nothing to complain about this restaurant.

Very nice place, owner is a super nice guy who made my family and I feel very comfortable. This is an excellent place to bring little ones to learn about the finer things in life. I wish them great success.

Fantastic restaurant in miracle mile! I had heard it was good and I had family visiting me after a very long and exhausting trip. Going here was a great idea! While it took them a bit longer than expected to seat us they were extremely courteous. They brought all of us a glass of wine on the house for our delayed wait (only 10 mins more than expected). Our server was very friendly and all of the staff was bilingual which was great since someone in our party had limited English. The food was delicious! There is no other word for it. My meat was tender and the pasta was perfectly cooked. I am also a wine snob and the wine I had with dinner was high quality and very well priced (the owner is Argentinian so it doesn't surprise me the Malbec was good and at a great price). (The wine I had while waiting was pretty good too especially considering it was complementary) I will definitely visit this restaurant again when I have family and friends visit. (Be mindful that it is a small restaurant so if you need something for large parties another place may be better suited for your needs.)

We went to this restaurant based purely on yelp reviews. A restaurant in the Gables with 5 stars is definitely worth a visit. We arrived an hour before closing and were greeted as if it was opening night, what a warm welcome. The owner, Beto, immediately came to introduce himself...what an AMAZING individual. His passion and enthusiasm is contagious and reflected in his staff, which were also AMAZING. And the food...Wow, every bite was fantastic, unique, rich and so much more. Try the ravioli and listen to what the waiter recommends. At the end of our meal, Beto returned to chat with us and we had great laughs (cupid). I encourage everyone to go, Go, GO to Fratellino.

This places is incredible. From the service when you first step in to the last second in the restaurant. The owner was very friendly. He makes you feel at home and very welcomed. Funny and genuine guy. The waiters were very attentive and were always smiling. The food... Soo good. We left dreaming about the grandmas bread. This has to be the best bread in the world. The crust was perfect; thick and crunchy yet so soft and moist inside. Perfectly balanced. The bread was paired with home made bruschetta, which the taste and freshness of it was very noticeable. Then came the gnocchi, the fluffiest and softest gnocchi's. They melted in my mouth. They were in a quattro formaggi sauce that was creamy yet light. The chicken parm came with perfectly al dente spaghetti marinara. The chicken was crispy and the marinara sauce was fresh and light. For dessert we had the pears in a red wine sauce with vanilla ice cream. Very unique dessert which you should not pass on. We came out from there exploding because of how much we ate, but we didnt want to leave any food on the plate.

Best Italian restaurant I've ever been too. As soon as my girlfriend and I walked in, the owner greeted us and made us feel at home. Definitely want to come back in the near future.

Delicious and authentic Italian food. A great variety of choices and substantial servings. BEST service in Miami, which is extremely hard to find, and due to the owner, Beto, who is a gentleman. A family driven restaurant that makes you feel at home, quite opposite to the pretentious restaurants that flood the city. I plan to visit Fratellino again on my future Miami visits!

Great food and service from a small restaurant on Miracle Mile. Visited with my parents while visiting Miami and had the best meal of my trip here. Reminded us all of eating at our favorite restaurant in Little Italy. Nice atmosphere for a small group or date. Had the burrata which was very fresh and delicious and my parents had the pasta fagioli soup which they said was hearty and delicious. I had the black linguine with a flavorful red diabla sauce and a mix of seafood. It was really good and like any Italian restaurant worth it's weight they had delicious bread as well. We splured on dessert and wow were we glad we did. I had a delicious poached pears dish, but the apple tart that my Mom ordered was AMAZING. One of the best desserts I've ever had and I'm not even all that into apple tarts. Warm, flakey, not too sweet, light, yet rich, and with a contrasting vanilla gelato what a treat. If I am in Miami again I am coming back and definitely ordering this dessert.

Apparently this place just opened less 2 months ago... Its perfection! Everything was amazing.... The service was exceptional, the food was great & the atmosphere even better. The owner spent a while chatting with is and he was the nicest guy! Really family vibe... Def going back! Try the chocolate mousse... Worth every calorie!!!

Amazing. Service was wonderful. Owner greeted us and made us feel welcome. He is very funny and hospitable. The Italian bread and bruschetta alone were to die for. Our server's pasta recommendations were delicious. I had the Parpadelle al Porcini and loved it. My friends had the pear pasta and fettuccini with pancetta. Both great. The owner brought us a homemade milhojas apple tart and home made limoncello for dessert. We could not have asked for a better experience. We'll be back!

The food was excellent and the service was great. These guys know how to run a restaurant. (My first ever review on yelp...as this restaurant deserved a great review)

The owner Be to greeted us, it was a pleasure right from the start, the sauvignion blanc and chianti were delightful, the buratta appetizer fantastic, the veal medallion's with the mushrooms and pasta with olive oil and garlic was so flavorful that this has easily become my new Italian goto restaurant!

Atmosphere is perfect, not too loud, great friendly and inviting service . The food is amazing and you can tell every plate is made with extra care. Perfect place for a simple date night or a cozy dinner with family and friends. Owners are very kind and make you feel right at home . Definitely will be coming back.

Came here after reading the great reviews. Fratellino did not disappoint! The pasta was better than any pasta I've had outside of Italy. Homemade and cooked to perfection, (el dente) and perfectly seasoned. The fried calamari and zucchini is unbelievable! We devoured it. One of us had the branzino, one the chicken francese, and one had the chicken parmesan. All were absolutely wonderful and plates didn't have a drop left. Service was amazing and the very friendly owner made us feel like we were in his home. He even gave us a bottle of wine complimentary. Beto, keep doing what you are doing. We will definitely be back soon!! Spectacular night!

Small restaurant with big Italian love. We were greeted promptly and seated promptly. We had a reservation, which I highly recommend. Pulpo / octopus cooked to perfection and large enough to split. Healthy Italian wine pours made everything even more enjoyable. My veal with mushrooms was delicious all around. Husband said linguini pomodoro was also delicious. Sadly, one of our dinner party ordered one of the specials: sea bass with truffle oil, champagne risotto. I was so jeally, until dinner came. NO champagne risotto. Fish was very good, but after telling waiter, the risotto never was delivered. Seafood risotto ordered by 4th person was "excellent!" I'll go back, but I'll be careful ordering specials. Yes, the price for special was charged and paid. Located on Miracle Mile with plenty of parking options. Menu selections typical but thought out; with overall reasonable pricing.

I cannot give this charming place 5 and even question 4. Maybe deserves 3.5. Why? Because notwithstanding attentive service and excellent food the place was louder than a bad night at Flannigans or some club on Sobe. So loud and boisterous I could not talk with my friend, I mean oppressively LOUD. And unfortunately management added to it by encouraging the loud mouthed table next to us. I so regretted taking my out of town friend to this place. Get some soundproofing....food very good but it's not the only place for similar.,..sorry. Won't return.

I absolutely love coming to this place. Not only for the freshness of the ingredients, the homemade pasta and the best Tiramisu out of Italy, but for the warmth you receive from all the staff. Beto and staff makes us feel at home. You can't go wrong with anything you order, just know that it will be fresh and full of flavor. Reservations are highly recommend, the word is getting out

Returned to Fratellino last night with my husband, this time without the kids. I believe an Italian restaurant, if it should succeed, needs 3 things: 1) Al dente pasta, fresh ingredients, good food, prepared well, piping hot, fresh out of the oven/stove, 2) a quaint ambiance, and 3) an amiable proprietor who genuinely cares. Fratellino has all three! Looking forward to our next return!!

After using Yelp to find the best restaurants, this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review. Fratellino is amazing! I used other yelp recommendations and ordered the grandmothers Cannelloni's and my husband had the salmon with poached pears in red wine sauce with a side of bolegnese pasta. It was all amazing. The Bechamel sauce in the cannelloni made it the best I've had. The mussels as an appetizer were delicious and the owner was a huge contributor to our fabulous meal with his friendly conversation and wonderful pictures of his family on the walls. We will undoubtedly go back...soon! A must try.

Alright... My wife and I, along with another couple, stumbled on this place over the weekend. We read some good reviews on Yelp, and gave it a shot. I'm happy to report that Fratellino exceeded our expectations. The food and ambiance was perfect -there wasn't one plate we didn't like (we ordered the calamari, mushroom risotto, gnocchi, veal, and the papardelle -delicious, all of them) What made our night even better was the service. It started off with Beto -this guy had us cracking up the entire night and our server (forgot this guy's name, young Cuban guy) he was great. Give it a shot. You shouldn't be disappointed.

We enjoyed shank with risotto and pollo Parmesan. The meal was perfect. The atmosphere was great and they had a very friendly staff. Lunch specials were tempting but since it was our first time we opted for some of the reviewed dishes. A must try.

What a perfect dining experience! From the flavor of the food (I ordered the Chilean seabass & my husband had the linguini with clams) to the service to the ambience - it could not have been better. There are a lot of dining options in this area, but Fratellino stands out above the rest. If you like receiving individualized attention, this is the place for you! I highly recommend & will be back!

We just came back from the restaurant and I couldn't help myself so I had to write something and share our experience. We were a party of 6, called and made the reservation for the little outside table. When we got there everything was all set up, very nice and they were waiting for us. Beto, the owner, came out amd said hi and welcomed everybody; that was a very nice touch. The waiters were super friendly, they took care of us right away and brought some fresh and warn bread with something like pico de gallo but the italian version that was yummy! We ordered 2 bottles of wine (one red and one white) and everytime there was an almost empty glass, the waiter would come and pour some more, you didn't even have to do it yourself. Excellent customer service! One of us ordered a delicious appetizer, and then we ordered from the main dishes because we were starving, honestly. Beto came outside with us and had some conversations about our nationalities and as we were all latins then we started joking around and clicked very fast. He told us about the restaurant and how his family opened it and the pictures on the wall made this place feel very cozy. We had SO much fun. The food came and it was delicious!!!! We all have different dishes so we all tried each other food and it was very very very good. There was such a goood atmosphere and we were laughing and having a really good time and Beto made our night even better. We got along so well that he even invited us for some dessert, on the house. Extremely nice touch! At yhe end of the night the check was a total of almost $200. We were looking for an italian place but something not too crowded or with loud music or TV all over the place, more like some place relaxing were we could talk and enjoy a good italian food. We didn't imagine this place was going to be so perfect and turn out so well. An amazing experience and the best of the best in customer service and food! :-)

Last night 3 of us went to dinner here based on other Yelp recommendations. It was a delight. We all agreed we would definitely return! The restaurant has a upscale modern vibe. There is seating outside as well which I love. The ladies room was modern and clean and had a very thoughtful touch. There were individual flossers and mouthwash - much needed after a good Italian meal. Thank you for that! Our meals were all perfect and had lovely presentations. I had the Saltimbocca and my companions had pear Agnolotti and Involtini. All delicious and just the right portion size. We didn't have appetizers so our meals arrived quickly, but we were never rushed. We finished our meal with cappuccino and shared Grandma's Tiramisu. I am not usually a huge fan of tiramisu but this one was fabulous and I would order it again. I felt the prices were very fair, as well. In my opinion, the true treasure of this restaurant is the staff. We were greatly warmly and asked if we wanted outside or inside seating. The waiter was attentive and charming as were all the folks there. It seems to be a family venture which is endearing and rare these days. Not soon after we were seated, our host, Beto Dicarlo came to our table to make sure we were happy. He is the epitome of all you imagine an Italian restaurateur to be - attentive, charming, knowledgeable, and good looking to boot. He made us feel very welcomed and cared about. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant - go visit the "little brothers" - you won't be disappointed!

Thank you, Yelpers, for introducing me to this fine Italian restaurant. My husband and and I had never been but we decided to visit with another couple tonight and we all enjoyed our meal very much. From the arrival to the departure were met with warm greetings from the owner (Beto) and his staff. He shook all of our hands and introduced himself. It's an intimate restaurant, maybe a dozen tables plus a few more outside, but the flavor and food options are worth the visit. We began with two baskets of freshly made bread, crusty exterior and soft interior dipped in house made bruschetta. Our friend actually ordered two of the fried cheese appetizers because he enjoyed it that much. Two of us shared the gnocchi plate and Rollatini. We cleaned up both entrees. My husband said his pasta bolognese was excellent (he lived in Italy for 6 years so knows his stuff). I would highly recommend dining here if you want delicious Italian cuisine. Great double date night!

I am going to have to agree with some of the other reviewers - I almost don't want to say how good this place is, in fear of not being able to get a table but that would not be fair to the place or the owner (Beto) who is amazing - he is like no other owner of a restaurant that we have met. My kids LOVE him and look forward to seeing him anytime we go (and want to go just to see him sometimes). The service is superb, the waiters and their assistants are super friendly and make sure you have bread and water at all times. The ambiance it romantic but at the same time friendly and family oriented. Now onto the food - out of this world - we've had a few things on the menu and every single thing we've eaten has been better than the last. The filet mignons tenderness is like butter. The chicken parm is delicious, so is the spaghetti and meat sauce - the shrimp with pesto sauce is light and tasty and let's not forget the selection of wines that they offer are spectacular. WE LOVE FRATELLINO and BETO!!! :)

Fantastic authentic Italian food and great ambience! I went here with my fiance and we both agree that it's a new favorite in Miami. The ossobuco was the best I've ever had--slow cooked for 2 hours with so much flavor and it melted right off the bone! We also ordered the sea bass which was much lighter in flavor and perfectly complemented the richer ossobucco (we like to share our entrees). One of the owners was there and highly welcoming which made the experience that much better! They had a little mix-up with the bill, since they had broken a 4-top table into a 2-top, but the owner was more than accommodating with it.

Sat outside last Friday. It was perfect! Perfect weather, perfect service, perfect food. We started with the provoletta scotatta. This is melted provolone cheese over arugula. It was one of the best appetizers I ever tasted. For our main courses I had the linguine alla vongole. The clams were very fresh and the linguine was cooked al dente. My husband had the chicken parmigiana. The chicken was a very thin breast of chicken without any hint of greasiness or excess oil. The marinara sauce was delicious and the mozzarella cheese on top was baked to a golden brown. Tiramisu for dessert topped off a fabulous dinner. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. The prices here are very fair as well. The owner stopped by and we discussed that he previously co-owned (with his father) an Italian restaurant in Surfside for many years. This is now a welcome addition to Coral Gables.

Not only is the food amazingly delicious, the staff and ambiance is excellent. Beto, the owner is a one of a kind. Very funny, and easy going. I love this place. It's very cozy and family oriented. Great service and great food, it's a win, win!

We went to this restaurant due to the great Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint!! The bread was excellent and served with fresh tomatoes in olive oil; the calamari was hot and served with a tangy aioli sauce. We had the chicken parmigiano and the ravioli with ricotta and pears. It was excellent! The sweetness of the pears with the savory of the cheese and cream was incredible. The service was personal and attentive, and the owner was friendly and came around making sure everything was to our liking. We also had a great bottle of Spanish wine for only around $50! If you're looking for a nice Italian restaurant, look no further! Highly recommended!!

Went to Fratellino's last night for the first time based on a Yelp search. What an excellent restaurant to have in the Gables! From the moment we walked in the door the friendly and attentive staff made us feel like we were arriving at a good friend's home for dinner. Then the owner, Alberto, came to our table to say hello. He and his staff create the kind of atmosphere that make one want to come back; all of this before we tasted the food! Started out with homemade bread and freshly made bruschetta. Be careful because you'll want to eat all of it. We then had perfectly grilled octopus....delicious! Our entrees were Seafood risotto and parppadelle with porcini mushrooms!! The chocolate mousse was the capstone to a perfect meal. The ambiance which included family pictures covering the walls, the staff, food and Alberto make Fratellino's a great dining experience!!

Like everyone else...I have to say this was a fantastic experience. Beto is a charmer and the food is excellent. Period. What more can you ask for? Moderate prices. Great service. Special personal touches! Beto went out of his way to make sure we all had what we wanted and made everyone feel special. Superb!

Wonderful service and individual attention from the owner Beto who is extremely friendly and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere - white table clothes. Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
